Coffee is the second most consumed beverage in the world, Gourmet coffee accounts for approximately 16 % of that market. I make my own gourmet-coffee as I like to blend different roasts to create a flavor that I prefer. It is my best tasting coffee. That is basically what the coffee producers are doing to create and maintain a new buzz in the coffee world. Coffee beans are grown in many parts of the world,in different conditions, such as climate , soil and elevation which add to the different characteristics of the beans.
There are different ways to roast beans. Roasting has huge impact on the taste of the best gourmet coffee. if you want a dark coffee, the beans will need to be roasted for a longer period of time, giving the flavor time to strengthen and set, if you are looking for a mellow and less bitter type of coffee, you may want a lighter roasted bean.
By blending different roasts from different regions gourmet coffee producers are able to pick and choose the beans and the flavor that they want to achieve. Jamaican blue mountain coffee is some of the most expensive coffee on the market, its characteristics are very favorable to most all coffee drinkers.
Coffee producers mix and blend these Jamaican beans with others which can create a different taste that consumers can enjoy at a reduced cost to them, just like thy will produce best coffee beans. Other types of gourmet coffee include flavored syrups added to beans which create such flavors as chocolate or hazelnut, there is far to many to list and coffee consumers have differing thoughts on these types of blends from can’t live with-out it to don’t want to try it.
You can purchase gourmet-coffee in many different places grocery stores ,on-line or your favorite coffee bar. As in all coffee the best thing you can do to insure great taste is make sure that it is fresh. When purchasing it for a gift I will only buy whole beans, if the person to who I am giving it to does not have a grinder I will buy freshly ground beans or grind them myself. This is also what I would recommend to anyone who asked my opinion whole beans are just fresher than the pre-packaged pre-ground coffee. As I stated before I prefer to blend my own creation ,but gourmet coffee is a great break from your usual cup-a, when you are entertaining or just want a treat for yourself.
