Spain and Ecuador Cooperation Agreement in the Field of Tourism
Spain and Ecuador cooperate in tourism until 2016 under the cooperation agreement signed on Wednesday between the two countries to improve the flow of tourists between the two destinations and increase the exchange of information on market studies and research.
The agreement was signed by the Secretary General of Tourism and Domestic Trade, Joan Mesquite Fernando and Minister of Tourism of Ecuador, Freddy Ehlers Azurite, in Ecuador during a visit by the secretary at the invitation of the Ecuadorian government official.
The agreement, which will last five years, will drive increased visitor traffic between the two countries and support cooperation between enterprises and organizations operating in the field of tourism.
Also encourage the exchange of information and experience in quality programs, sustainable development and technological innovation in tourism and encourage collaboration between the respective private sectors, facing tourism investment.
Spain and Ecuador exchange information on tourism statistics and legislation, as well as research in the tourism sector and encourage different forms of bilateral cooperation, with particular emphasis on knowledge sharing and practical experiences among organizations and institutions of the two countries in tourism.
Also promote the exchange of information and documentation on training human resources in the tourism sector, creating conditions and considering possible ways of cooperation in this field.
